Create Your Own Relaxation Recording

Here’s a script to create your own relaxation recording.

Relaxation Script

Let’s begin by finding a nice comfortable place to sit or lie down

Where you can completely allow your mind and body to be perfectly comfortable and relaxed

And lets begin by closing your eyes

And take a full deep breath

Allowing the air to completely fill your chest and lungs

And then let go, letting go of any stress or tension

Take another full deep breath, enjoying the sensation of the air flowing in

And as you exhale allow your mind and body to let go and relax

Breathing in relaxation…

And each exhale feeling more comfortable and relaxed

 

Allow any thoughts to simply float and pass by like bubbles floating away

Allowing any thoughts to simply float and pass by like bubbles floating away

And with each breath you’ll feel more comfortable and more relaxed

 

You can focus on my voice and allow any sounds to drift off into the distance

Any sounds will simply help you to relax deeper and deeper

 

And lets begin by imaging, thinking or feeling a beautiful light floating above your head

You can imagine this light to be any size, shape or color

Imagine this light filled with loving healing energy

This light will help you relax your mind and body

This beautiful light will melt away any stress, tension or discomfort

Helping you to feel more comfortable and more relaxed

 

Imagine this light growing stronger and stronger

Brighter and brighter

Imagine this light gently floating down your head

Feel all the muscles in your face become smooth, smooth and relaxed

Allow your teeth to part just a little bit, letting go of any stress or tension in your jaw

Allow your thoughts to drift and float as you become more comfortable and more relaxed

You may begin to feel so comfortable so relaxed that you begin to feel lighter and lighter

Like you’re drifting and floating into a deeper and deeper level of relaxation

Or your body may begin to feel heavier and heavier that you become so comfortable

And so relaxed as you relax deeper and deeper

 

 

And allow this wonderful loving light to gently drift down, down throughout your neck

And throughout your shoulders

Feeling all of your muscles becoming smooth, smooth and relaxed

As you drift and float into a deeper and deeper level of total relaxation

Imagine this light gently moving down your arms, all the way down, down throughout your arms, down throughout your hands and fingertips

And you may begin to feel warmth in the palms of your hands, and that’s fine

You may begin to feel tingling in your fingertips, and that’s fine

And you may feel so comfortable, so relaxed

That you feel like you’re drifting and floating into a deeper and deeper level of total relaxation

 

And imagine this beautiful light to fill your chest and lungs

And as you exhale, let go of any tightness or tension

And each breath will help you feel more comfortable and more relaxed

 

Feel this light gently moving down, down your back

All the way down, down throughout your back and stomach

Feel all of your muscles become smooth, smooth and relaxed

As you relax deeper and deeper

Feeling more and more comfortable

Drifting and floating into a beautiful relaxation

 

And imagine this light gently moving down, down throughout your legs

Melting away any discomfort

Feeling all your muscles becoming loose, limp and relaxed

Allow this beautiful loving light to gently move down, down your legs

All the way down to your feet to the tips of your toes

 

And notice how comfortable you feel

Drifting and floating into a deeper and deeper level or total relaxation

 

And in a moment I want you to imagine a beautiful elevator

You can picture or imagine an elevator in front of you

And there are tens levels

And as I count from 10 to 1 you will feel more comfortable

More relaxed, at peace and at ease

And when I reach the number 1 you can imagine being in a beautiful place

Where you feel completely comfortable at peace and at ease

And lets begin…

Imagine going inside the elevator and it’s on floor #10

The doors begin to shut and you watch the counter

As it goes down to the level 9 and you become more relaxed

8 deeper and deeper relaxed

7…6…5…4…3…deeper….2…1…deeper relaxed

And now imagine being in a very safe, and a comfortable place

You can imagine being there, feeling that sense of peace and well beginning

Allow these beautiful loving feeling to grow stronger and stronger

As you relax deeper and deeper

Feeling so comfortable so relaxed at peace and at ease

 

And imagine feeling this beautiful light flowing throughout your body

Moving through you and all around you

Growing stronger and stronger

Imagine this light filled with loving energy

Feeling the love that you have for yourself growing stronger and stronger

Feeling the love that others have for you

Feeling the love that you have for others

Allow these wonderful feelings to grow stronger and stronger

As they stay with your throughout this day

Throughout the evening and tomorrow

You are a very valuable, loving and caring person

You can reflect on all of the positive wonderful feelings and experiences you’ve had

Throughout your life

And you can feel good about yourself, feeling good and absolutely wonderful

And you feel a loving energy moving through you and all around you

Feeling more comfortable

These positive feelings grow stronger and stronger

The light becomes brighter and brighter

And you reflect on all of your accomplishments

Imagining feeling all the love and joys filling your body

Experiences all of you favorite moments with all the feelings and great sensations

Feeling proud of yourself

Feeling good and free

You are a wonderful, beautiful and loving person

And these feelings and thoughts stay with you

Throughout the day, evening and tomorrow

 

(Ending to drift off to sleep)

And now you can drift off into a beautiful sleep

Where you can continue to experience all the love and joy

Sweet dreams!

 

(Ending to wake up)

And now I’ll count back from 1 to 10

And when I reach the number 10 you’ll come back

Feeling completely refreshed and energized

1 begin coming back to full consciousness

2….3….4…become more aware of your surroundings….

5….6…take a deep breath ….7. …8…..begin wiggling your toes

And fingers….9….begin opening your eyes

And 10 back to full consciousness feeling refreshed
